With Lynchburg birth photography, there are births that take a long time which gives you plenty of time to take all the pictures they want as well as get some candid shots of the mother and father. But there are other times when you think you have time but end up rushing to get all the important shots and everything happens at once. It’s fair to say that Josh was one of those births!
John was born at the Hershey Medical Center on December 11th at 1:59pm, 8lbs 12oz, 21.75 inches long. After Allison getting induced the night before, little John turning to a breech position and almost needing a c-section, him being turned back by the doctor, then Allison pushing him out in only 3 pushes, John had finally arrived! It was so crazy how fast everything happened.
Just moments before the birth it had been so quiet. The doctor came in wanting to do a routine check to see how things were progressing. I told Ally that I was going to step out for a minute and grab a drink downstairs in the cafeteria. Just minutes after me leaving and waiting in line for my drink, her husband called me saying they did a practice push and the baby was coming!! I rushed upstairs and entered to room filled with doctors, nurses, and a baby crowning! So I grabbed my camera, and caught little John entering into the world just 1 push later. I can’t believe I almost missed the birth! So glad I was able to be there and capture this beautiful moment for their family :)
