How to Photograph a Bride Getting Ready on Her Wedding Day
For many couples, their wedding day photography coverage starts in the morning as they prep for the day. There’s details to photograph and lots of important moments. As a wedding photographer, it can feel easy to be overwhelmed about all the “must capture” moments happening around you. Today, I’m sharing my workflow when photographing a bride getting ready, from start to finish! See what photos I style, and which ones I set up to happen naturally when my bride is getting dressed for her wedding day. I hope this workflow helps you break down what to capture when so you never forget a thing!
Every wedding day is different, but for the most part, I follow this workflow. It helps ensure I capture all of the details and big moments for my bride and her girls. I’m a big fan of capturing both natural and staged moments during wedding day prep. It helps everyone feel more at ease – but also able to just enjoy the morning too!
