This venue is one of those hidden gems, in the middle of nowhere but also close to the city of Charlotte. If you are looking for a wedding venue overlooking a stunning scenic lake, then this place is for you. I thoroughly enjoyed photographing this Catawba Falls Events Wedding in South Carolina.
Our bride and groom decided to have a traditional aisle reveal and do the majority of their portraits after the ceremony. Which means the bride got to spend extra time with her bridesmaids, and the groom got to spend extra time with his groomsmen! After portraits, the ceremony took place in the grass field with the Great Falls Lake in the background. The grooms reaction to his soon-to-be wife coming down the aisle was priceless.
Following the ceremony we photographed all the bride and groom portraits around the venue and even went down to the lake dock for sunset portraits. My favorite! Their first dance was on the lower patio surrounded by their guests with strung lights overhead. The party continued on the upper patio right behind the venue, and let me tell you, it was a PARTY! The evening ended with a sparkler exit and it was magical :)
