Megan and Brendan were one of the many couples in 2020 that had to postpone their big wedding due to the COVID pandemic. Although they couldn’t have the big ceremony and reception that was originally planned, the decided they didn’t want to wait another year until they could be married. So they moved forward with a micro wedding in winston salem.
The afternoon started with a short and sweet ceremony at a local chapel before we drove to a nearby park for photos with their close friends and family. The only guests in attendance were their immediate families and super close friends in their wedding parties. We started with some couples portraits while we were waiting for the dogs to arrive. Megan and Brendan, like many of my couples, have a love for animals and wanted to make sure that their dogs were involved in their wedding photos. Megan is also a veterinarian in her professional life, so it would only make sense that her wedding photos would include a fur baby or two ;) Don’t you love their little bandanas!?
After photos with the pups, we moved forward with family photos, photos of Megan with her bridesmaids, Brendan with his groomsman, and then wrapped it up with more couples portraits of the bride and groom. Fun fact: Megan decided to be spontaneous the morning of her wedding while at the salon. She went in long hair, and came out having chopped her hair to her shoulders and donating her long locks before walking down the aisle. I’m sure Brendan was double surprised when he saw her that afternoon! First because she was in her beautiful wedding dress, but also because her hair had just been majorly chopped! So of course I had to spend some of their portrait time doing a mini bridal session for Megan highlighting her cute shoulder-length curls :)
