Tips for More Authentic Poses for Couples

Being a wedding photographer means that I’m working with couples every day – photographing their engagement session or wedding portraits. The one thing I never want is for my couples to feel uncomfortable with posing. Because, when they’re uncomfortable, it shows in the portraits. Instead, I want to find genuine and authentic poses for my couples that let their personalities shine through. Today I’m sharing my favorite tip on how to get your couple posing from super stiff to SUPER FLOWY! This tip is going to help you bring more life into your posing, resulting in more beautiful and natural portraits every time.

Authentic posing is really about learning how to capture your couples the way that they are – not fake smiles or laughs. It’s about being able to document their personalities and love story in a true-to-life fashion. Trust me, you’ll begin to create images you absolutely love – at EVERY session – using this one tip! Tune into this week’s video to find out how to create more authentic poses and images for your couples.
