The Fields at Skycrest offers so much versatility for a wedding day, with spacious getting-ready suites, a beautiful outdoor ceremony space, a covered patio, and a large indoor reception area with plenty of room for dancing. And as we learned on this particular wedding day, having a covered ceremony option is especially helpful when unpredictable Carolina weather rolls in!

Getting Ready and Emotional First Looks

We started the day photographing Jordan and Trent’s wedding details before moving into getting-ready photos. Before seeing Trent, Jordan shared an emotional first look with her dad followed by another sweet reveal with her wedding party. When Jordan and Trent finally saw each other, one of my favorite things to photograph was how much they laughed together. Those natural, joyful moments between the two of them continued throughout the entire day.

Their wedding party wore a beautiful spring-inspired color palette that looked perfect against the venue backdrop. The original plan was to hold the ceremony outside on the lawn, but a big rainstorm left the grass too soggy. Thankfully, the venue made it easy to pivot! The ceremony was moved beneath the covered overhang, where guests could stay dry while still enjoying the fields in the background.

Amazing Vendors and Sparkler Exit

Details Wedding Planning did an incredible job bringing every element of Jordan and Trent’s day together and keeping everything running smoothly despite the weather change. Cut at an Angle transformed the reception with gorgeous floral arrangements, including statement florals hanging from the ceiling. The colorful flowers brought so much personality into the modern white reception space.

Following cocktail hour on the back patio, everyone headed inside for dinner and an unforgettable night of dancing. DJ on the Half Shell kept the dance floor packed all night—which meant there was never a shortage of fun moments to photograph!

Before their exit, Jordan and Trent shared a private last dance in the reception space. It was such a sweet, intimate way for them to take in the final moments of their wedding before rejoining their guests.

The night ended with one of my favorite moments of the entire day: a high-energy sparkler exit! Jordan, Trent, and their guests were completely in the moment, making it the perfect ending to such a joyful celebration.
