There are few venues in North Carolina quite as iconic as the Biltmore, and Emma and Fletcher’s Biltmore Estate North Carolina Wedding was the perfect summer celebration. They were married at the end of June on a classic southeast summer day—hot, humid, and complete with a quick afternoon rain shower. Thankfully, the rain held off just long enough for us to explore the Biltmore House and gardens for portraits!
Getting Ready at the Inn on Biltmore Estate
The wedding day began at the Inn on Biltmore Estate, where Emma had booked a beautiful suite for getting ready. I always begin a wedding day by photographing the details before moving into those candid getting-ready moments that help tell the full story of the day.
Before getting into her dress, Emma and her bridesmaids shared a toast from her Matron of Honor in the suite. Once everyone was ready, Emma and her groom met outside the Inn for their first look with the Blue Ridge Mountains stretching out behind them. It was such a beautiful and quiet moment before the rest of the day began.
From there, we headed to the Biltmore House and gardens for wedding portraits. One of my favorite things about photographing a Biltmore Estate North Carolina Wedding is the variety this property offers. Between the historic architecture, manicured gardens, mountain views, and endless tucked-away corners, there are so many incredible backdrops for timeless wedding photos.
A Colorful Summer Ceremony at Deerpark Venue
As we drove from portraits to the Deerpark wedding venue, the rain finally arrived—and our timing couldn’t have been better!

Petal and Fern created the colorful florals for the ceremony and reception, and I loved seeing so much color incorporated throughout the design. The vibrant arrangements felt fresh, joyful, and perfect for a summer wedding in the North Carolina mountains.
As the evening continued, guests made their way to the dance floor, where Fly Fidelity Band kept the celebration going. There is something about having a live band at a wedding that brings an incredible energy to the reception, and this night was no exception.
