This Reynolda Garden Engagement Session was so much fun with Olivia and Charley! We met up on a sunny day just a couple hours before sunset (my favorite time to photograph sessions). Reynolda Gardens in nestled in Reynolda Village which is right next to Wake Forest University. In the village we started photos at the stone bridge that leads up to campus. Sunset at this bridge is soooo pretty! We then made our way to the gardens where lots of nuzzling took place ;) If you are looking for a beautiful garden with lots of variety in the Winston Salem area, I highly recommend Reynolda Gardens. I photograph sessions there multiple times a year and it never disappoints!
After Olivia and Charley changed outfits (I have a whole blogpost on how to choose outfits for your engagement session) we made out way over to the Reynolda House Museum. I love the front of this museum! It’s so pretty! And the lawn in front of it is perfect for sunset photos. Just wait until you see that golden hour sunset while Charley and Olivia danced! After getting some amazing photos there, we went back to the gardens for photos in front of the greenhouse. I love the lush greens and blooming florals during the warm months here. I could come to Reynolda Gardens every month from April-October and it would be blooming with different flowers each time.
We ended the session just as the sun went behind the trees. This time of day is typically called “blue hour” and it’s when everything is still nice and lit for about 15 minutes before it gets dark. I get some of my most romantic looking photos during blue hour. Just because the “sunset” is gone doesn’t mean you need to pack up your still right away. Enjoy some of my favorite photos from Olivia and Charley’s engagement session. I’m so excited for their wedding this year at the McAlister Leftwich House!
